Meet our physiotherapist Nathan Thomas
Nathan Thomas is a physiotherapist who has a wide range of experience working in elite sport as well as the private and public sector.
He is currently physiotherapist for Team INEOS, a position he has held for the last seven seasons travelling extensively throughout the world, including many successes not to mention, being involved in back-to-back Tour de France victories, as well as the Giro Italia and Vuelta Espana victories for the team.
Nathan holds postgraduate qualifications in sports physiotherapy, a physiotherapy degree with honours and holds a sports science degree.
He has worked in the front line of elite performance and injury management from pitch side trauma management, injury prevention, recovery and return to sport rehabilitation.
Nathan started his career in the NHS, and then went onto work in multiple sports organisations, New Zealand warriors, Cardiff City FC, Bridgend Rugby, Welsh Boxing, Warrington Wolves Rugby League, Lancashire Cricket and now Team INEOS (formerly Team Sky). Recently he has set up his own performance physiotherapy business based in Cardiff, abloc physiotherapy. The aim is to give the level of detail and attention elite athletes have to everyone. The objective; ‘improve performance, health & well-being.’
