I've been with Lawrence since 2017 and he is excellent. He got me through the training and Ironman Wales 2018. Since... then he has prepared training plans for general fitness and now for Ironman Wales (should it go ahead). Great to meet Craig at the Vo2 bike and run test, very nice guy, very professional and very knowledgeable about all the... questions I had regarding my extremely high heart rate. Now that my zones are nailed down I can't wait to start training with them. Would highly recommend if like me all the heart rate zones are beginning to fry your head. Booked the VO2 Max test and had a really useful session with Lawrence. I was particularly interested in calculating... calorie intake for my ultra and endurance runs but learnt a lot about training zones to work in. Lawrence was really knowledgable and explained things very clearly. Highly recommend this service.read more

I have recently completed an 8 week improvers swimming course with Lawrence. Many people within the group are taking... part in short or long distance triathlons but for myself it was about learning the correct technique and building some stamina.Every session was very informative, concentrating on technique and breaking down your stroke to get each body part doing what it is supposed to be doing! There was a range of ability within the class but this did not matter as the focus was on technique rather than stamina. Lawrence frequently gave group and individual advice and feedback which was really useful.After each session Lawrence emails homework to support and enhance all the points covered in the sessions.If you are looking for a swimming course to improve your technique I highly recommend getting in contact with Lawrence.read more

Just had 2 months of sessions with Lawrence over winter. Really helpful, each session just focused on a couple of... techniques, and didn't feel overwhelmed.He is very patient and positive, and focuses on each individual as to what needs to be improved. Lawrence doesn't shout either - I've seen different instructors who seem to think shouting is effective!He sets "homework" too, so if you're able to have extra pool time between sessions, its very useful repeating some of the drills.The classes are kept to a small size, so this helps build a rapport and team spirit with the other students. Regardless of how slow or fast you are, you feel you're all in it to improve together, and there's certainly no egos.I'm definitely a lot more confident with spring/summer open water swims approaching, and would highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their technique.read more
